Kings of the Sevens

Rugby 7s in the Scottish Borders

The game of rugby sevens was conceived in the Scottish Borders town of Melrose in 1883. Today rugby continues to feature as the main sport of the Borders and at club level there is a very active 7s circuit.

The 10 most prestigious 7s tournaments make up the Kings of the Sevens league competition. Teams compete at individual tournaments to gain points, the competition culminates in a team being crowned "Kings of the Sevens". Thrilling rugby action ensures that each tournament is an event to remember.

Much enjoyed by visitors and native Borderers alike, join in and be part of the original Scottish Borders rugby Sevens experience.
