Scotland won a third 6 Nations match in the same year for the first time since 2006 with a 29-0 victory over Italy on Saturday.

The result at BT Murrayfield gave Vern Cotter a positive end to his three years in charge.

Stuart Hogg’s penalty put the hosts ahead before Finn Russell added a penalty and a conversion.

Replacement Matt Scott touched down the second try for a 15-0 lead half-time lead, but Italy missed three penalties.

Italy started the second  half well,  but Scotland withstood the pressure and tries from Tim Visser and Tommy Seymour sealed a bonus point win for Scotland.
