Gala YM and Earlston meet on Saturday, March 11 at Netherdale in the inaugural Jewson Cup match.

The clash between the two Border clubs kicks-off at 1.30pm and they will battle it out for silverware.

Both clubs have enjoyed recent fixtures and feel this will be a cracker. They are also thankful to Jewson for supporting it.

The sides want to promote East League rugby to a new audience and show that there are some competitive teams at that level.

Gala YM are also trying to build more ‘rugby spirit’ with the after match entertainment disco at the clubrooms in Roxborough Street  in the town.

Mark Ross, Sales Executive. Jewson Galashiels, said: “At Jewson we care about the communities we serve, with branches taking part in local activities that help make people’s lives better.

“That’s why we are pleased to support Gala YM with the intention of helping them to succeed and grow.

“We are happy to be associated with the Borders, delighted to sponsor the inaugural Jewson Cup and wish the teams great success!.”
